By Staff | Oct 10, 2010

Suspects in house break-in. If you can recognize these men and the vehicle, call the Lee County Sheriff's Office or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS to receive a reward for information leading to their arrest.

Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office were sent to 6501 Dabney Street, Fort Myers in reference to a residential burglary on Friday, Oct. 8 at around 2 p.m.

When they arrived on scene, they learned the homeowner had just returned home from shopping when he discovered that someone had broken into his house.

The residence is equipped with surveillance cameras, which were then reviewed by the owner (see photos with this article). The surveillance photos revealed a silver Mitsubishi Lancer with front end damage pulling into the homeowner’s driveway earlier in the day.

The video shows several black male suspects exiting the vehicle, possibly looking through the windows and knocking on the door of the home, and then return to their vehicle and leave the scene.

Several minutes later, the vehicle is back in the driveway and two males are seen exiting the home through the front door, carrying the homeowner’s shotgun, television and other miscellaneous items.

Anyone with information regarding the identities of these suspects is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (239) 477-1000, or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000, call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
