The Cabana Palms Dayspa is set to move to a new location in two weeks. The Cabana Palms Dayspa at 45 Alabama Rd. is moving to 400 Lee Blvd. John Graham, general manager, said the new site is twice as large as where they were on the corner of Alabama and Homestead roads.
Graham joins his wife and two others who are all licensed to do massages and the demand has grown with their number of clients on the increase.
“We plan to move into the new building on Nov. 1 and we’ll be open for business on that day,” Graham said. “We’re planning a grand opening party on Saturday, Dec. 11 with a roast pig and other foods, a raffle and a tour of the facility.
His wife, Kelly Graham, said there will be free chair massages give to visitors at no charge. She emphasized they are not full massages, but rather designed to relax the shoulders and around the neck.
Kelly operated the massage unit at the old Admiral Lehigh and often gave chair massages when the Chamber held After Hours at that location. She met John Graham, whose background is in advertising and management at The News-Star and Gannett Newspapers. They met at a Chamber event and were married not long afterwards and joined forces to open Cabana Palms Dayspa at the N. Alabama Rd. site.

In addition to John and Kelley Graham, two other also perform different types of massage. They are rob Weddel and Stephanie Peterson and all have been trained and licensed.
John Graham said massage has become an important treatment for people to relieve stress. It also is health for all the body to have a regiment of massages. In addition to regular massages, Graham said they perform therapeutic massages. Cabana Palms Dayspa accepts insurance if covered by the client.
Several years of experience are included in the four who offer their services at Cabana Palms Dayspa with Kelly working as a massage therapist for 14 years.
All are graduates of the 17-week course at Florida Academy of Massage and Skin Care in Fort Myers.
“We use massage to help with blood pressure to help people relax. To remove stress, to help the immune system and eliminate ‘cortiso ‘which is produced in the body and causes stress. That causes stress and can cause weight gain,” she said.
On that first week in November, they will be offering specials for new customers. On November 1, the first week, massages will cost $35; during the second week, massages will be $40; third week, $45, fourth week, $50 and fifth week, $55. That is for an hour of massage, Kelley Graham noted. Kelley noted that it is important to call them during the first weeks of specially prices massages, so appointments can be made. They can be reached at 239-369-9986.
She said people also use massage because of weight gains. She explained that therapeutic massage has nothing to do with the days of the “massage parlor,” where people may have gone for sexual gratification.
“That is not what we do today,” she said. “It is all being healthy and our clients return on a regular basis. There are many ailments that massage helps. Many with Fibromyalgia use massage a way to help alleviate pain and remove toxins from the body. It’s all related to holistic health,” she said.
Massages at Cabana Palms Dayspa come in three ways: 30 minutes for $30, 60 minutes for $60 and 90 minutes for $90.
They offer Swedish massage, deep tissue (therapeutic) massage, stone therapy massage, scalp massage, reflexology foot massage, and on the Spot Chair massage which is a ‘quick fix” to relive your most trouble spots. It’s a dollar a minute for the service.
In addition, they offer different types of facials, detox wraps and body waxing, manicures and pedicures.

“We have a mission; Our staff is dedicated to providing the best spa service in lee county and creating a positive and caring personal experience for every life we touch,” said John Graham.
“If you have never had a massage, this is your opportunity during our grand opening. Come on in and we’ll explain how massage can help everyone. And during our opening, the prices are very reasonable. Just remember to make an appointment,” Kelly Graham said.
