Christmas decorating begins at Edison, Ford Estates
Volunteer decorating groups are beginning to gather to install decorations for the 35th annual Edison & Ford Holiday Nights at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates. Holiday Nights opens December 9 January 1 and attracts visitors from all over the nation to see lights and decorations throughout the riverside homes and gardens of the famous families.

“With the support of our business partners and friends this year Holiday Nights will be spectacular,” said Chris Pendleton, Estates president and CEO. “The historic site prides itself on recreating the holiday tradition in the days of the Edison and Ford families and their visitors.”
“In addition, there are many new surprises and the return of the successful favorites making this a ‘must do’ for families, residents, visitors and groups including NEW historic holiday tours at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.,” said Pendleton.
Edison & Ford Holiday Nights will be open nightly (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) with tickets on sale from 5:30 until 9 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased in advance; Estates Members are free and also receive complimentary tickets. Groups of 20 or more should reserve by telephone in advance to receive a group discount. Self guided tours: $15 for adults, $1 for children; historic guided tours: $20 adults, $11 children (ages 6 -12). Opening weekend (December 9, 10, 11, and 12), all Lee County residents will receive $5 off admission of a self guided tour with proof of residency.
