The Lee County Sheriff’s Office today said that on Wednesday October 27, at around 1:46 p.m., deputes responded to 1123 Belgrave St. in Lehigh in reference to a call reporting a suspicious person in a nearby vacant house.

On scene, deputies learned a witness who lives in the neighborhood watched a red car pull into the driveway of the vacant home. Two men were seen getting out of the vehicle and entering the home through a side garage door. The two men were then seen leaving the home a short time later and leaving the area at a high rate of speed.

While responding to the call, deputies recalled passing a red vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle. The red vehicle was located nearby and both male occupants were questioned. The investigation revealed both men were in fact the suspects seen entering the home. The investigation further revealed that both suspects intended to steal parts from the air conditioning system, investigators said.

As a result of the investigation, Jonathan Lee Aiden, 30, has been charged with one count of burglary to a dwelling and one count of possession of burglary tools. His last known address is 2211 Kendell Avenue, Lehigh Acres.

Deputies also charged Lazaro Santa-Ana with one count of burglary to a dwelling. He lived with the other suspect.

Both suspects were booked into the Lee County Jail.
