Vikings air it out in 25-7 win
Quarterback Jake Kistel connected with Matt Brewer for two first-half touchdown passes, including a 48-yard Hail Mary on the final play of the half as Bishop Verot rolled over North Fort Myers 25-7 Friday night.
The Vikings (5-3) dominated the Red Knights (3-6) in all facets after the scoreless first quarter.
On the first play in the second quarter, Kistel found Brewer on a 47-yard scoring play.
After a Red Knights punt, Verot put together another solid drive and Maxx Moore kicked his first of three field goals to put the Vikings up 10-0. Moore finished 3-for-3, hitting from 31, 27 and 22 yards.
With 15 seconds on the clock, Kistel ran 28 yards. The next play sent the crowd into a frenzy when Kistel found Brewer for a 38-yard strike as time expired.
North got on the board in the third quarter when they recovered a muffed punt. QB Zane Lapaugh scored on a one-yard plunge.
