Coming off its third consecutive Atlantic Sun regular season championship, the FGCU baseball team will return to the diamond for its annual Blue vs. Green World Series this weekend.

Game one is 2 p.m. Friday with games two and three at 1 p.m. on Saturday, and Sunday.

Under the direction of ninth-year head coach and three-year reigning A-Sun Coach of the Year Dave Tollett, the Eagles return 16 players, including seven position starters and eight pitchers, from a season ago.

The Eagles welcome many new faces to the team, including four MLB First-Year Player Draftees.

This year’s team was divided into Blue and Green squads for the weekend event and will compete in the three-game set in as many days. Admission to the event is free for all Eagle supporters.
