We have completed an unsuccessful election campaign for Seat 4 on the East County Water Control District board of commissioners. I was a disappointed by the lack of a vote of confidence for physical restraint and a new way of conducting ECWCD business. However, I want to sincerely thank all who voted for me. I extend my best wishes to the successful candidates and I offer my assistance to the board in their upcoming term.

There are many difficult issues before the new board and I will be watching for their progress. Hopefully, the new board will find a way to compromise and move forward to a better tomorrow. I remain optimistic about our community’s future. I will try again in two years.

Once more, I thank you for your kind support. Now, we need to get to work!
