A Lehigh Acres woman is in critical condition after she lost control of her car on Sunshine Blvd. in Lehigh Sunday night. The Florida Highway Patrol said Ruth Anne Spurlock, 26, was the driver of a vehicle heading north on Sunshine Blvd. near Queen Drive when she hit the guardrail on the east shoulder of the road. According to the report, her 2006 Ford flipped over.

Police said Jason Hudgins, 25, also of Lehigh, a passenger in th e car, was not injured.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ruth Anne Spurlock was driving

northbound on Sunshine near Queen Drive when she hit the guardrail on the

east shoulder of the road, causing her 2006 Ford to flip. She was taken to

Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

A passenger in Spurlock’s car, Jason Hudgins, 35, of Lehigh Acres, wasn’t

hurt, according to the FHP.
