American Legion Poppy Field: An image of a soldier knells in front of a Christian cross honoring a fallen comrade in the front and side yard of the American Legion Post 323 on the corner of Ashlar St. and Taylor Lane Extended. In addition to the crosses there was also a Star of David among the several hundred display of poppies in honor of Veterans Day. The display was up between Nov. 8 and 21 with a poppy field known as Flanders Field. The American Legion Auxiliary Unit has put up such a display for three years. Photo provided
