Blades win 6th straight on road
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Florida Everblades earned their sixth straight win on the road with an impressive 5-1 victory Wednesday night over the Greenville Road Warriors behind a pair of Mitch Fadden goals and 27 saves by Bobby Goepfert.
The Everblades (17-11-0) put together a solid first period scoring three times in the opening 20 minutes.
The Road Warriors (18-6-2) scored first at 1:48 on Brandon Wong’s goal from behind that net that he was able to lift past Goepfert.
The Everblades answered with the next three goals, two by Fadden and one by Alex Imbeault.
The Everblades struck for two quick goals in the final two minutes of the second period to take a 5-1 lead.
The Blades return to action Friday when they travel to Charleston, S.C., to take on the Stingrays.
