Lehigh firefighters responded to a report of smoke conditions at a residence in the 4900 block of Barth St. in Lehigh on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 6:09 p.m.

According to Fire Marshal Ken Bennett, the fire was discovered in the kitchen as a result of unattended cooking. He said one resident was home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

Bennett said the home received moderate heat and smoke damage. The damage to the house was estimated at $100,000 to the house.
