Fans of the Florida Everblades came through with 6,000 stuffed toys during the annual “Teddy Bear Toss!” on Dec. 11 at Germain Arena.

Those stuffed toys have been donated to several Southwest Florida youth organizations, including Toys for Tots, tThe Lee County Sheriff’s Office Youth Programs and The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

The team also wore special jerseys that were auctioned off after Saturday’s game, raising $12,150 to benefit the Deb Kelsey Memorial Scholarship Fund helping allow Junior Everblades participants needing financial assistance to afford to play ice hockey.
