Doris E. D Girolamo

Doris E. DiGirolamo, 88, of Lehigh Acres, died on December 15, 2010, in Lehigh Acres.

She was born February 8, 1922, in Philadelphia, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Francis R. and Anna M. (DeLauray) McAllen. She moved to Cape Coral in 1967 with her husband and lived there for 35 years, until they moved to Lehigh Acres in 2002.

DiGirolamo was a homemaker all of her married life. Besides raising a family, she was an avid reader, enjoyed her orchids, crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, crocheting and all kinds of music.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 year, Pasquale (Pat) DiGirolamo.

She is survived by her children, Anne Marie Rasmussen (Bern), LaBelle, Michael DiGirolamo, Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Patrick DiGirolamo (Elaine), Benton, Pa.; grandchildren, Michelle Combs, Roswell, of Georgia, and Kristen Glass (Mike), Hersey, Pa.: great-grandchildren, Derek and Peyton Snyder, Roswell, Ga., and Benjamin and Riley Glass, Hersey, Pa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 14, 2011, at 9 a.m., at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 13031 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers with Father David Arle officiating.
