Jean E. Robbins
Jean E. Robbins, 86, of Lehigh Acres, formerly of New London, Conn., died on December 17, 2010. She was the wife of the late Clayton L Robbins, who died in 2008.
Robbins was born on April 19, 1924 in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, to Capt. Roy and Ann P Patten.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Robbins of Palm Bay, Fla., Irene Robbins of Lehigh Acres and a son, Charles Robbins and his wife Susan of Lehigh Acres; three grandsons, Dennis Strickland of Micco, Fla., Joshua Leary of New Orleans, La.,, and Clayton Allen of Groton, Conn., and one great granddaughter, Haley Strickland.
Her family said she loved to sing and play the piano. Among those who enjoyed her talents were the children at “Cap’n Steve’s” Nursery School in Stonington, Conn., and the residents at Bayview Convalescent Home in Waterford, Conn.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Rachel Allen; two sisters, Pearl Mautner of Boothbay Harbor, Maine, Irene Patten of Waterford, Conn., and a grandson, Kevin Strickland of Port St. Lucie, Fla.
As per her wishes there will be no funeral. Both she and her husband’s ashes will be scatted at sea.
