Help support Lehigh’s Little League program

By Staff | Dec 21, 2010

To The Editor:

Lehigh Acres Little League is in the process of obtaining commitments for the upcoming baseball/ softball season. Lehigh Acres Little League Baseball/ Softball program is dedicated to building character, self esteem, good sportsmanship and community loyalty in local area youths by providing fun, instructional and competitive baseball/ softball programs.

To be successful, LALL needs a tremendous amount of support by the local community and its leaders.

Lehigh Acres has the largest Little League program in our area with the lowest registration cost. Last year alone approximately 40 percent of the area youth could not pay the registration fees which help offset the cost of equipment, player insurance, uniforms, etc.

Your readers’ help and support will ensure that the area youth will have the ability to participate in this time honored tradition. By donating to this worthy cause your individual or business donations will be recognized publically at the Williams Street baseball/ softball fields which hundreds of people visit regularly during the baseball season.

Sponsors may contribute $300 for a three-feet by six-feet banner placed on one of the outfield fences for the entire season. The banner will include a company name and phone number.

To be a Team Sponsor, $150 will have the sponsor name on team jerseys plus team plaque. Team sponsors will be on a first come basis.

An individual sponsor can contribute $75 to sponsor a local child who is unable to pay registration fees. The donor’s name will be placed on a banner to be displayed at the field.

If you or your company are interested in a sponsorship, contact Brenda Yaeger at 239-225-3178 or Robin Furney at 239-265-7656.

Checks can be made payable to Lehigh Acres Little League, PO Box 842, Lehigh Acres, FL., 33936. Remember, your support is tax deductible and is appreciated.
