Country Club Association to meet in January

The Country Club Association will not hold its regular monthly meeting on December 19. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held on January 16, which is the third Monday at the First Congregational Church. A speaker and refreshments will be provided, according to spokeswoman Bobbie Slanker.

Elks to hold New Year’s Eve dinner, dance; call now for tickets

New Year’s Eve dinner and dance will be held at the Elks Lodge 2602 with music by The Brylcreams. The lodge is at 1050 Joel Blvd. Semi-formal attire is requested. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are at 7 p.m.

Dinner choice is Prime Rib or Orange Roughy. Champaign will be served at midnight. The cost is $45 per person. Purchase tickets by Dec. 27 by calling Barbara Guido at 239-770-2497. It will be limited to 150 people and there will be no tickets sold at the door.
