To the Editor:

People all over Florida are losing their homes. There are thousands who barely have enough money to buy groceries.

Here in Lehigh, hundreds of children go to bed hungry at night and the story is the same all over Florida.

Yet Gov. Rick Scott has raised nearly $3 million for his inaugural.

Remember this is the same man who spent millions of his own dollars to win the governor’s race.

Wouldn’t you think that Scott from Naples, who proclaims that he is for all Floridians, would have tuned it down instead of spending so much money for his inauguration.

He’s Republican and it’s politics as usual. Now that he is governor; he doesn’t give a damn for you or me.

I am not impressed. Hope you that voted for him are proud. The money could have been spent to help so many people and he could have decided to have a very inexpensive inaugural, like a big dance and ceremony at the armory in Tallahassee. But we know how he made his money on the backs of others; why should we feel he will be any different as governor? Remember the old saying: Voters get what they deserve and they sure have a gem in this man.
