Senior Center board nominees: Each year a board of officers is elected at the Lehigh Acres Senior Citizens by the members of the Center. The vote will be on January 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Center at 219 Plaza Drive. After four have been voted on, the complete board of the Centers elects its officers for the year. Those nominated are from left to right, Don Thompson, Jim Simenton, George McCollam, Terry Hommen, Rose Oliverio, Joyce Jepherson, Ruby Sylvester, Pat Chevalier and Rick Thayer. An open business meeting of the regular meets at 2 p.m. before the membership. At this time, officers are voted on by the board. The Senior Citizens Center is open five days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those over 50 may stop by anytime to pick up literature about the activities and classes that are held there.
