By Staff | Jan 15, 2011

Postseason play starts today for District 4A-11 girls’ soccer at Ida Baker.

The tournament starts early because of semester exams next week. With Monday being a holiday, four quarterfinal games will be played starting at 1, 3, 5 and 7 p.m.

Fort Myers (4) and South Fort Myers (5) open play Monday at 1 p.m., followed by No. 2 Estero against the Riverdale-Cypress Lake winner, top-seeded North Fort Myers against the Cape Coral-Lemon Bay winner and wrapping up with defending district champion and No. 3 Ida Baker vs. No. 6 Mariner in the last game.

The semifinals are set for Thursday at 5 p.m. and the championship game is 7 p.m. Friday.

Island Coast is hosting the District 3A-12 Tournament, which starts at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when the fourth-seed Gators take on No. 5 Dunbar.

The winner advances to Friday’s semifinals to face top-seed Bishop Verot after LaBelle and Gateway Charter kick things off at 2 p.m. The championship game is 2 p.m. Saturday.
