Coach Karl Smesko of the Lady Eagles at FGCU was the guest speaker at the Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres Wednesday morning breakfast meeting on Jan. 12 at the Microtel Inn & Suites, 1320 Business Way in Lehigh. Breakfast is always at 7 a.m. and the meeting begins at 7:30 a.m.

Currently the Lady Eagles are 10-0 for the season. Others who were invited to attend were Matt Collveer, director of ticket operations, Butch Perchan, senior associate athletics director for external affairs and Mike DeBrino, group sales coordinator.

The breakfast meeting is open to members and their guests. Members of the public may also come but they should call Damon Shelor at 239-222-4621 for the costs of the breakfasts and selections on the menu. The Kiwanis Club meets every Wednesday morning and attendees buy breakfast off the restaurant menu at Haney’s which is inside the Microtel Inn & Suites.
