The Lehigh Acres Fire District responded to a detached residential garage fire on January 15 at 7:35 p.m. The fire was located in the 3600 Block of 2nd St SW, according to Fire Marshal Ken Benett. He aid there were no injuries in the fire.

Bennett said that since this structure was detached from the house, the occupants of the home were not displaced by the fire, or forced out of their home.

He said the fire appears to have started as a result of an electrical short. The structure and the contents were a complete loss. The adjacent residence suffered some heat damage as a result of this fire, he said.
