Presbyterian Homes to open Wellness Center
Presbyterian Homes in Lehigh Acres is a large 488-unit, low/restricted income community that is predominately occupied by people 62 and over. Their mission is to provide quality, affordable senior rental communities with care and support. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to expressing compassion and concern to older adults by providing them an atmosphere to enjoy affordable independent living, says Sarah Spinski, a spokeswoman for the community.
“We are opening our first, no cost Health and Wellness Center on January 19. This is a center for education, light exercise, memory building activities, physician appointments, mental health therapy, blood pressure, social services and much more,” she said.
There will be no out of pocket charge for any services received in the center.
“We envision this space to be a neighborhood resource center for our residents so they can easily access important health services. This site is a collaborative effort of numerous senior health organizations in Lee County,” Spinski said.
The Grand Opening is Wednesday, January 19 between 11 a.mm. to 2 p.m. at 1291 Broad Street West, Lehigh Acres. For more information, you can contact Spinski at 239-369-6745 or 239-825-9961.
