Lehigh teens hurt in weekend crash
The Florida Highway Parol said in a press release that a 17-year-old Lehigh Acres girl received serious injuries over the weekend in a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of 1st. Street SW and Lee Blvd. in Lehigh Acres.
The report said Rosamarie Saez was driving a Honda Civic on 1st. Street Southwest when she attempted to cross Lee Blvd., heading into the path of a Ford Explorer that was traveling east.
Police said Saez’ vehicle was struck by the front of the SUV.
A passenger in Saez’ vehicle, Robert Rivera, 17, was also transported to Lehigh Regional Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries.
Ralph Donnie Crapse, 27, was named in the report as the driver of the SUV. he was hurt in the crash, according to the police report, which said Saez was being charged with violating the right-of-way.
