Once again it’s time for the Miss Lehigh Spring Festival pageant which takes place during the 10-day festival celebration, says Liz Eilf, a spokeswoman with the festival.

She said those interested in competing should go to the festival website at www.lehighspringfestival.com and download the applications.

She said the pageant will be on March 20.

There are four categories to win a crown, Eilf said. They include:

Toddlers, ages infant to 3; Prince and Princess, ages 4 to 8; Junior Miss Spring Festival, ages 9 to 13, and Queen of the festival, ages 14 to 18.

If you have any questions or to make arrangements to drop off applications and entry fees, call 369-4003 and speak to Judy Carter.

The festival begins with introduction ceremonies and music on the first Friday night. Then there is a concert on Saturday night featuring a country music star. There are many events throughout the week and the festival is open each night with a midway of rides and other entertainment such as the Festival Spring Idol Contest. A parade takes place on the final Saturday with Veterans Park open all day to festival goers with plenty of music and entertainment.
