Mack to be at Chamber roundtable Feb. 3

By Staff | Feb 2, 2011

U.S. Congressman Connie Mack will be in Lehigh Acres on Thursday, February 3 from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. to meet with local business leaders. It is not open to the public.

A spokesman at the Chamber said a representative from Mack’s office contacted the Chamber and requested the Chamber to house the one-hour roundtable discussion.

Attending the round-table will be Joe Pearson, Vickie Hay, Cindy Dodd and David Deetscreek, Jim Boback, Michael Swords, Jere Carrick, chamber CEO Joe Whalen and Edd Weiner, and Eugen Borosch.

It is believed it is the first time that Mack has visited with Chamber members. He is serving his second term in Congress. Mack never attended any of the campaign programs in Lehigh that were held for voters and office seekers at Veterans Park. He has never held a public forum for the citizens of Lehigh.

The announcement of Mack’s visit was emailed to Chamber members which in turn forwarded the email to the press.
