Michael Austin Waldron Sr.,

Michael Austin Waldron Sr., 53, of Fort Myers, died on February 1, 2011 surrounded by his family. “Big Mike” as he was lovingly called by family and friends was born in Fort Myers on April 20, 1957 and was the son of Agnes Padilla-Waldron of Lehigh and to the late Lucius Austin Waldron.

He attended Riverdale High School. He was a carpet installer by trade and spent the majority of his adult life in the Fort Myers/Lehigh area.

He is survived by his son, Michael A. Waldron Jr. and his fiance, Jessica Kirkland, his mother Agnes; five grand children, Tyler, Alyssa, Riley, Koby, Casey and nephew, Colton, who he thought of as a grandson; two brothers, L. Jack Waldron Sr. and Dale B. Waldron; two sisters, Brenda Waldron-Bethune and Bonnie Waldron-Hall, former wife/friend, Marilynn Waldron-Fewox; several nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Betty Raulerson.

Waldron had a heart of gold and loved country music, his family said.
