11 couples renew wedding vows at Senior Center

Renewing wedding vowels: The Lehigh Acres Senior Center hosted 11 couples during the annual Anniversary Renewal of Vows Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 3 on Plaza Drive. Exchanging vows were, front, left to right, Guiseppe and Diane Ambroselli, 52 years; Paul and Betty Ryder, 27 years; Chester and Cathy Olson, 32 years; Jack and Shirley Schuman, 20 years, Jim and Anne Simmenton, 20 years, Walter and Mary Hamilton, 65 years; Pat and Rose Oliverio, 64 years. Back row, Walter and Dolores Curll, 12 years; Mary and Joseph Ferster, 43 years; Ed and Pat Chevalier, 33 years; under the direction of Pastor Larry Guthridge. Music by organist Nancy Bartlett was enjoyed by the celebrants, family and friends during the couples’ processional, reception and dance. The Lehigh Acres Senior Citizen Center hosted 11 couples during the Annual Anniversary Renewal of Vows Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 3. The ceremony attended by family and friends took place at the Center on Plaza Drive.

Center Director Teresa Perkins welcomed celebrants, family and friends to the annual event under a gold and silver canopy with anniversary, hearts and floral dcor.

Following the processional, Pastor Larry Guthridge welcomed celebrants in front of the golden wedding arch and candle bedecked columns.

The music was provided by Senior Center Board Director and organist Nancy Bartlett. Reception tables were decorated with wedding finery on gold cloths while wedding cake and punch were served.

Mementos were given to each couple representing 410 years of matrimony adding to the renewal history of thousands of years celebrated by senior center members in the past.
