The Lehigh Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association is hosting a business women’s relay race.

The race will consist of four-person teams who will each walk one-quarter of a mile for a total of one mile to raise funds for local scholarship recipients. The organization’s main goal is to support women in business and provide scholarships to local residents to further their education.

Since the Lehigh chapter’s beginning in 1998 they have raised and awarded more than $50,000 in scholarships.

The public is welcome to bring their teams to the event scheduled for February 19 at Veterans Park, 55 Homestead Rd. South.

The chapter would also welcome donations if you are not interested in walking. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m.

Trophies will be awarded for fastest team and team who raises the most money.
