On Saturday, Feb. 19, the Fort Myers Police Department will close the following roads beginning at 5 p.m. for the Edison Grand Parade, unless otherwise noted:

Cleveland Ave between Hanson St and Main St

Edwards Drive, closed from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.**

Bay St between Heitman St and Jackson St

First St between Fowler St and Jackson St

Main St between Cleveland Ave and Hendry St

Monroe St between Main St and Edwards Dr

Broadway Ave between Second St and Bay St

Hendry Street between Main St and Edwards Dr, closed from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.**

Jackson St between Edwards Dr and Edison Ave

Cortez Ave, between Del Rio and Llewellyn

Llewellyn between Cortez Ave and Cleveland Ave

Hoople St between Jackson St and Central Ave

Crawford St between Jackson St and Central Ave

Lafayette St between Jackson St and Central Ave

Royal Palm Ave between Bay St and Thompson

Lee St between Edwards Dr and Thompson/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd between Fowler St and Heitman St

The ramp off of the Caloosahatchee Bridge into downtown Fort Myers and the southbound lanes of traffic will be diverted onto McGregor Blvd

Those who wish to attend the parade are encouraged to arrive in the downtown area prior to 5 p.m. The parking garages will be open before the parade starts and access will be very limited to vehicles entering and exiting during the parade. Anyone who is not attending the parade should seek alternate routes. Alternate routes include the Edison Bridge, Fowler Street and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.
