Dorthy G. Yahner

Dorthy G. Yahner, 86, of Lehigh Acres died Saturday, February 19, 2011. She was born in Chicago on October 31, 1924 to Rocco and Anne Filitto. She worked for Rockwell Printing and later for the Yellow Pages as an accountant.

Upon retirement in 1985, she moved to Lehigh Acres with her husband and her father.

She was secretary of the Pinewood Condominium Association and a volunteer coordinator at Lehigh Regional Medical Center.

Yahner was an active member at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church and always worked the holiday meals for the community where she was kown as “The Gravy Lady.”

She is preceded in death by her husband, James J. Yahner and her parents.

She is survived by her children: Roxanne Yahner (with husband Scott Wilson), Renee Gandy (with husband Jim) and Jack Yahner (with wife Judi) and her five grandchildren: Joe, Craig, Kyle, Ryan and Caitlin. Services will be in Chicago at a later date.
