Members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Bureau are again teaming up to help the family of fallen Deputy Scott Wheeler. On Saturday, February 26, members of the public are invited to attend a charity flag football and softball game in Deputy Wheeler’s honor.

Wheeler was killed in a motorcycle crash on January 12. He is survived by his two children and his fianc, who is currently expecting the couple’s third child.

General admission is $5. Children under the age of five receive free admission. All proceeds will go to Deputy Wheeler’s family.

The event will be held at 11 a.m.. at the Brooks Community Park, located at 50 South Road, Fort Myers, next to the Page Field Airport.
