The Mariner Tritons led almost from the first pitch in the bottom of the first inning in a 19-0 rout of Gateway Charter (1-7) Thursday night.

Carrie Grigiski tripled to lead off the home half of the first for the Tritons and scored on an RBI single by Alyssa Langdale.

The Tritons added 16 base hits over the next three innings, leading to 18 runs. They scored seven runs in the third and nine in the fourth inning.

Grigiski (2-2) allowed just three hits and struck out seven on the mound while contributing three hits at the plate. Langdale went 2-for-4 with three RBI and Samantha Rapp cracked a two-run home run.

McKenzie Hunt had three hits while Samantha Greenwell and Cody Sawyer each added two hits for the Tritons (6-3), who host Dunbar Friday night.

Ida Baker 11, East Lee County 0: Ida Baker sent 11 batters to the plate in a six-run, second-inning rally that carried the Bulldogs to victory over East Lee County.

Junior Louie Ross cracked two triples, senior Hannah Kelly tripled and senior Katie Rieser homered to lead the Bulldogs’ 15-hit effort. Maddy Peres added three hits and struck out six to combine with Sierra Myers for a five-inning no-hitter.
