Sheriff Mike Scott finalized a partnership with CHOICE Environmental in Lehigh Acres. CHOICE recently arrived with a new fleet of trucks and established a large operation having secured a long-term contract for trash removal and disposal for all of Lehigh Acres.

Using advanced technology in communications and GPS tracking, the Sheriff’s Office and CHOICE are linked together for an enhanced crime watch. This model is deployed by CHOICE elsewhere in Florida and serves to encourage more eyes and ears travelling throughout every neighborhood in Lehigh with the emphasis on reporting suspicious activity and being on the lookout for law enforcement interests, according to a news release put out by the Sheriff’s Office.

“We are excited to partner with this mobile neighborhood watch, as we both work together to keep the streets clean,” Scott said.

Garth Fowles, general manager for CHOICE Environmental accepted a plaque from Sheriff Scott during a company meeting last week in Lehigh and is also enthusiastic about joining forces.

“The Sheriff and I have been communicating since we first arrived here in Lehigh, and CHOICE is committed to assisting public safety during the course of our primary duties.”
