The General Woman’s Club of Lehigh Acres will award several $500 scholarships to single parents with minor children living at home. The applicant must be currently enrolled in continuing education classes at an accredited college, university or technical school and must be a resident of Lehigh Acres.

There is no pre-printed application form but those interested in a scholarship should send their own application with the following information.

Send proof of residence in Lehigh such as a utility bill, rent receipt, etc.; must be a single parent with minor children living at home; name of college, university or technical school in which you are currently enrolled, a brief biography that includes information on your area of study, your street address and telephone number where you can be contacted, no post office boxes.

Your application must be received no later than April 30, 2011 in order to be considered. Award will be issued on May 20, 2011.
