Mariner girls get back at FM
Mariner extracted a bit of revenge for an earlier loss this season by beating Fort 9-4 Friday night.
Abby Willis (3-for-5) belted a three-run home run in the fifth inning to give the Tritons a seven-run lead at the time. Willis, Samantha Greenwell (2-for-3) and McKenzie Hunt (2-for-5) accounted for most of the team’s nine total base hits.
Alyssa Langdale scattered four hits to pick up her fourth win on the mound.
The Tritons (8-4) next play at North Fort Myers on Friday.

Island Coast 10, Estero 5: Island Coast overcame an early two-run deficit on the way to victory at Estero.
Jesse Graf, Frankie Ruffino, Olivia Lugo and Darian Martin connected for extra bases among the Gators’ 11 base hits.
Dana Ruff (2-1) earned the win on the mound by scattering four hits and striking out five over six innings.
The Gators (4-7) play Tuesday at LaBelle.
