Public invited for input on Telegraph Creek Preserve on Tuesday, March 15
Telegraph Creek Preserve, located on the north side of North River Road in Alva has a stewardship plan the public can view and offer input.
The Telegraph Creek Preserve Land Stewardship Plan will be the topic of discussion at a 6:30 p.m. meeting Tuesday, March 15, at the Alva Community Center, says Laura Wewerka, land stewardship coordinator for Conservation 20/20.
The plan called a land stewardship plan is the product of Lee County Conservation 20/20 staff. The plan describes the Preserves, the resource-based recreation proposed and the restoration work which is planned. After public review the plan will be presented to the Lee County Board of County Commissioners for approval.
The stewardship plan is available for review until March 15 at Riverdale Public Library, located at 2421 Buckingham Road and, at www.conservation2020.org/stewardshipplans.cfm under Telegraph Creek Preserve.
