Every year the Lehigh Rotary Club holds a race on the first weekend of the Lehigh Spring festival.

The complete list of runners for this past Saturday’s race can be found at the Fort Myers Track Club’s website: www.fortmyerstrackclub.com.

Runners started at the Microtel Inn at 7 a.m. with sign-ins with the race beginning at 8 a.m.

Earl Hart, a spokesman for the Lehigh 4K race said that both the overall male and female winners are Lehigh Acres residents.

“I’m not sure but I think that’s the first time that’s happened,” he said.

The following are winners:

Justin McMurrer, 25, Overall Winner, 22:28.

Lisa Buohler, 41, First Female, 24:39 This is the fourth straight year as the First Female runner, Hart said.

Other Lehigh Acres residents who won their age groups were:

Jonathan Manzanares, Male 13-15, 24:31.

Ben King, Male 30-34, 24:06.

Amy Depauw, Female 35-39, 29:23.

Seven Lehigh residents finished second in their age groups. They were:

Yordani Argudin, Male 13-15, 24:38.

Sara Perez, Female 16-19, 48:18.

Ashley Purdy, Female 25-29, 43:44.

Johnathan Woodall, Male 30-34, 29:01.

Butch Swank, Male 35-39, 33:40.

Jennifer Sidwell, Female 35-39, 30:26.

Maria Buitrago, Female 40-44, 37:17.

Joe Bannon Sr., Male 75 and over, 1:02:34. At 79 Bannon was the oldest male runner.

Leslie Huggins was the oldest runner in the race at 86. She is the oldest female to run in the race. She won the female 75 and over age group.

The proceeds will go to the Track Teams at Lehigh Senior High and East Lee County High School, and also to the Intact Club and the JROTC program at East Lee County High School.
