The Lee County Sheriff’s Office reported a major half-million drug bust in Lehigh today, Tuesday, March 22.
Members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, assisted by Bravo (East) District deputies, responded to 3101 7th Street W, Lehigh Acres, after an anonymous tip out of the Miami area that the residence was the site of a large scale marijuana grow house operation.
When investigators arrived at the house, they made contact with the sole occupant of the home, identified as Felicia Garcia Gonzalez, 49. Detectives said they could immediately smell marijuana on Gonzalez.
A search of the home revealed two bedrooms each containing 14 full grown marijuana plants. A third room contained 11 full grown plants. Investigators then said they discovered 71 small marijuana plants inside a bathroom and 23 more plants of different sizes in the garage.
In all, 133 were seized by investigators. Authorities said the plants have a street value estimated at more than $500,000. Various drug paraphernalia was also found during the operation, officials said.

Gonzalez was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail without incident. She has been charged with one felony count each of marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment.
