If you are interested in volunteering at the soon to open Volunteers in Medicine free medical clinic in Lehigh Acres, you are urged to stop by on Tuesday, March 29 at the Microtel Inn & Suites at 1320 Business Way in Lehigh to fill out an application and meet the staff.

“We will be rounding up volunteers in two shifts – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.,” said Andrea Benda, the VIM executive director. For more information, you can call 239-674-7056.

The new VIM Clinic is expected to open next month at a site on Lee Blvd. It is for those who have no insurance, and for those who are under insured. The clinic will be staffed by all volunteers. The clinic will open during week at night. Volunteers are needed during the day to help make appointments and check for qualifications.
