Over $50,000 stolen from business account

More than $50,000 was reported stolen Tuesday from a local business.
A Cape Coral man reported that he was working on his computer when someone hacked into it and wired $54,000 from his business account. The business checking account is for Pine Bluff National Bank, Pine Bluff, Ark.
According to the police report, he is the bank’s chief financial officer.
The man reported that the bank called the U.S. Secret Service and an agent was assigned to the case. The agent instructed the man to file a report with local law enforcement. The man will press charges on behalf of the company.
Neither the man nor the Secret Service agent could be reached for comment.
