Scott shouldn’t balance budget on backs of the poor

By Staff | Apr 13, 2011

To The Editor:

I am concerned about Gov. Rick Scott’s proposed tax cuts. Too much is asked of the poor citizens of Florida.

Cuts in Medicaid are not really necessary because the federal government pays a good share of the monies anyway.

Cuts in services for the disabled – they need more help, not more cuts.

I don’t like what he is doing to public service employees or teachers either.

Cuts in education are not the way to improve education for Florida’s students.

Gov. Scott shouldn’t balance the budget on the backs of the poor
