Temporary road closure set for Del Prado/Pine Island Road intersection
Beginning at 8 p.m., Sunday, May 1, to 5 a.m., Monday, May 2, motorists should expect a temporary road closure of Del Prado Boulevard and SR 78 / Pine Island Road. This temporary road closure is necessary for crews to perform signalization work at this intersection. Motorists are advised to follow the suggested detour route and to expect possible delays.
Detour: Motorists traveling north on Del Prado Boulevard will travel east on Northeast 6th Street, north on Northeast 19th Place, west on Pondella Road, southwest onto S.R. 78 / Pine Island Road and north onto Del Prado Boulevard. Motorists traveling south on Del Prado Boulevard will travel west on Diplomat Parkway, south on Andalusia Boulevard, east on S.R. 78 / Pine Island Road and south onto Del Prado Boulevard. Motorists traveling eastb on S.R. 78 / Pine Island Road will travel south on Del Prado Boulevard, travel east on Northeast 6th Street, north on Northeast 19th Place, west on Pondella Road and east onto S.R. 78 / Pine Island Road. Motorists traveling west on SR 78 / Pine Island Road will travel north on Del Prado Boulevard, west on Diplomat Parkway, south on Andalusia Boulevard and west onto S.R. 78 / Pine Island Road.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards, and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. While traveling through the work zone, motorists are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit of 35 mph, and seek alternate routes whenever possible. Please be advised that unforeseen circumstances and weather may affect the schedule.
