Kudos given to LCEC by Lehigh resident
To The Editor:
My wife and I just received good news from our electric company, LCEC.
Where we came from, the non-profit business spent all surplus monies on expenses such as multi-million dollar improvements like expenses accounts, board of directors’ limousines and retirement packages. This way nothing went back to the customer.
I just read in The Citizen that Lee County Electric Cooperative is distributing $8.2 million to its active customers. This stuns me and lets me know that non-profit business does not mean that they can charge any amount and spend all monies without conscience of right or wrong.
Thank you LCEC, you are a rare business in this very corrupt world.
