To The Editor:

I would like to thank all the firefighters for providing the expertise needed to mitigate multiple wildland fire incidents that impacted the District and other counties last week due to drought conditions and critical fire weather. These combined conditions have posed challenges to our firefighters working to contain these fires before they became large complex incidents in addition to the normal day-to-day emergency and non-emergency calls that they routinely handle.

The accomplishments of our District in mitigating these incidents are largely due to the quick response and aggressive fire tactics provided by our personnel as these incidents made several runs towards residences and other structures that were threatened.

Great job by everyone from staff, who worked behind the scenes, to our firefighters on the front line. Again, thank you for all you do each day and for mitigating each of these complex incidents.
