Democratic Women’s Club meets May 14
The Democratic Women’s Club (DWC) will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, May 14, at the Royal Palm Yacht Club, 2360 West First Street, Fort Myers (from McGregor Blvd., turn toward the river on West First Street, one block north of the Edison and Ford Estates).
The speaker will be Holley Rauen, a registered nurse with the Lee County Health Department. She is program manager of Health Promotion & Wellness and the Tobacco Prevention Program for Tobacco-Free Lee Coalition. The luncheon meeting is 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The luncheon price is $18. Coast Guard Flotilla to teach boat safety
Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 94 is offering a one-day boating safety
course from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. on May 14 at the Veterans Park Recreation Center, Lehigh Acres. The cost is $35 a person and all materials are provided. It covers state and federal boating regulations, Homeland Security, and more. The course is National Association of Safe Boating Law Administration approved.
