Ramon Garrett

Ramon R. Garrett, 50, of Fort Myers, died May 10, 2011. A resident of Fort Myers, for the past five years, he has worked in Kabul, Afghanistan, for the past 2½ years as an electrical private contractor. His work brought him to North Carolina, Puerto Rico, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Indiana. He served in the Air Force and was a member of the Local 481 Union in Indianapolis, Ind., for 15 years. his family said he loved spending time with them and reading God’s Word. He was a Second Degree Black Belt in Karate. He was born in Muncie, Ind., to Radford and Jana Sue Garrett. He grew up in Crawfordsville, Ind. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lisa; and one son, Josiah Ethan; sister Rhonda (Garrett) Schwindt of Indianapolis, Ind. His parents and brother, Jay Garrett, predeceased him. A celebration of life service was held at the University campus of Summit Church on Monday at 6 p.m. Arrangements were handled by Anderson-Patterson Cremation & Funeral Services, 2701 Lee Boulevard, Lehigh Acres, FL 33971, 239-368-7080.
