By Staff | May 11, 2011

Three air-conditioning units valued at $19,000 were reported stolen from outside of a business Monday.
Cape Coral police responded to a report of a burglary in the 600 block of Del Prado Boulevard, North. The property manager reported that three of five units located on the north side of the building were taken out of their cages.
The theft occurred after 4 p.m. Friday, according to a police report.
The tops of the air conditioners had been unscrewed and laid on the ground. The wiring and copper pipes were cut to free the units, and they were taken. Two units in front of the three were not touched and were in working order.
Located in the same area, the breakers for the three units were shut off.
