Raymond J. Oosterhous

Raymond J. Oosterhous, 85, of Lehigh Acres, died on March 16, 2011.

He and his family moved to Lehigh Acres in 1964 and he helped to set up and operate Lehigh Pharmacy as the pharmacist for more than 35 years. In his off time he loved to bowl and fish.

Oosterhous served during World War II in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife Viriginia (Ginny) in 1989; two sons, Craig and Keith Oosterhous, and one grandson Jon Paul Gendrault.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Melcer; his son, Kurt Oosterhous and one grandson, Gregory Oosterhous.

A service with military honors will be held at noon on Monday May 23, 2011 at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72 Sarasota, Fla.
