The results of the preliminary investigation into the deaths of Tara Brissette, 28, and Marcus Jackson, 31, have led detectives to believe that it is a murder/suicide, Cape Coral police officials said late Monday afternoon.
The investigation is on-going, however, and it could be several weeks until the Lee County Medical Examiner’s report is finalized, said Lt. Tony Sizemore in a prepared statement.
Detectives continue to conduct interviews of witnesses and Forensics Personnel continue to analyze evidence in the case, he said.
The two were found deceased inside a home at 1413 S.W. 16th Terrace Sunday. Police were called to the home at 1:50 p.m. Sunday.
No other information has been released.
