The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) board will hold a public hearing at 9 a.m. on May 20, 2011 to consider amending the FY 2010/2011 through FY 2014/2015 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to add the design phase for the two to four lanes widening of SR 82 from Alabama Road to Homestead Road in FY 2010/11 and to add the project development and environment study phase for the SR 31 from SR 80 to North River Road project in FY 2010/11.

The MPO will also hold a public hearing to amend the 2035 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and adopt the Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan.

The MPO board meeting will be held at the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council’s office at 1926 Victoria Ave. in Fort Myers.

Written comments received by the end of the business day on Thursday, May 19, 2011 will be distributed to the MPO members at the hearing and made part of the public record.
